Hey everybody,
So, I last posted about this in September 2020 and very little has progressed since. I still want to make my movie, but there are a number of factors holding up the process.
Obviously, COVID is proving to be a big issue. The last thing I want is to risk my health or the health of others for my project. That would be selfish.
Secondly, finding funding. This isn't your standard family friendly film and I doubt many people would want to fund it regardless of the fact that I intend to have naked people and comedic situations throughout. I mean, come on, who doesn't like a good laugh while checking out gorgeous naked people.
Which brings me to the third problem. Now, bear with me because this is going to sound like whinging, but it's not. Being a straight white guy is actually a huge issue when trying to hire women who are willing to get naked for a film. Most of those I've contacted have ignored my initial contact. I understand that women on the internet must get so many guys proposing to make something that doesn't involve anything seedy and turns out to be a guy holding his phone while getting his dick played with, but sometimes a simple 'No thanks' is all that's needed.
I have a few ideas left on how I can get over these hurdles and just had to go somewhere to vent. Sorry to those who had to read through this. I NEED to move forward on this because I've say still for too long and it's imperative that I get this production started this year. Time is running out.
I'm open to any suggestions and/or offers.
