Well, after a lot of work, I've managed to get some time off this month. It's been hoped for for about a month now, since I have no social life, there's all sorts of issues at work, and I NEED a distraction from my health. We've been planning on May 27-29(or 30), just because it was a weekend he had free, and I shouldn't be guilted for not putting in an extra shift on Monday. THEN he pointed out the TO Gala, which just happens to fall on the 27th... which made my efforts to find coverage for my shifts even more frantic. So as long as nothing changes this week, I should have my escape, we should be at the event (at least for a short time), and we'll hopefully get to work on at least one set.
I've also been told that I should be able to get away for a few days right before my birthday, and hopefully that won't change. I'd REALLY like to find a new home for my one kitty before that, but I don't know how I'll make that one happen.

whose excited about the new PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN flick comiing out friday??? i cant wait, looks like another winner of movie. bought ultraviolet and the 2nd underworld flicks over the weekend, i highly recommend them if you dont already have them. painted and bordered(my first experience with border) my sons room over the weekend also. have to say it turned out very nice, i have pics if anyone wants to see.

I'm the new UpstateSGNY group owner and i'm popping into people's journals from the upstate area to invite them to join the group!
i'm hoping to get enough new members interested in events to have get togethers and large events (possibly a darien lake day, or something to that effect). so stop by and see what's up... i promise there isn't even any sort of weird initiation (well, unless you want there to be... lol).
