This time of year is tough for a lot of people. I myself am finding it difficult to function. I'm physically cold 100% of the time, emotionally cold about 60%, I'm lethargic, and I flip-flop between wanting to burst into tears and wanting to rip someones throat out. I've no money to buy anyone important to me a gift, which is heartbreaking. However, I sincerely believe that it is the thought that counts. Hopefully they'll feel the same. I just wish it was Christmas day already. I know that in the midst of the baking and the chatter and the laughter and the feasting, I'll be happy. It'll be amusing to watch as mother attempts to reinforce her, "NO POLITICAL DEBATES AT THE DINNER TABLE!" rule (it never works).
So, what I'm trying to say here is that if you too are feeling down and out this holiday season, know that you're certainly not alone, and hopefully it will pass. Sometimes you just gotta give yourself a nice, swift kick in the ass and say to yourself, "Self, stop being such a little bitch and appreciate what you have." That's what I say anyway. And sometimes, it works.

Yeah I hate getting gifts from people since I can't afford to get them things and pay bills. Good luck on the avoiding the political debates that always fails with my family too
