My meeting last Wednesday was MUCH better than I had anticipated. Last year, we all had a "discussion" that lasted about an hour and a half longer than our scheduled meeting time AND had to schedule another meeting for later. This time, there were no arguments, we all got along, we agreed on things AND we had a good time at the social hour. I was so surprised! I can work with anyone, but I will not allow things to be pushed off on myself, Lisa, or Debbie. I was expecting this to happen from a few people, and it did not happen!!!
My feelings have been hurt recently though. Imagine that everything that you say, everything that you do, and everything that you feel doesn't really matter or make a differance.
I went to Easter lunch at my in-laws today. It was just them, me, my sister-in-law and my new niece. Abbie is almost five months old. I did hold her for the first time for just a bit. I am scared to hold babies unless they can hold their heads up.....yeah...i know....i am a scaredy-cat. Abbie did a fair amount of screaming since she just learned that she could. She really was not bad. But she did DROOL EVERYWHERE. My sister-in-law is knocked up again, so before Abbie turns 1, she will have another brother or sister. I was very glad that since Abbie was born, there have been no more snide or snarky remarks from my sister-in-law.
I need to plan a vacation and visit my family soon. I don't know if they are coming up here this year as my mom is not very mobile right now. She fell in the parking lot after leaving physical therapy. Fortunately a gentleman helped her up and to her van. She was ok, but she will probably need more physical therapy. So, I really need to figure out something....and soon...so I can schedule my vacation.
