Sounds like it might be a case of I'm-so-in-thrall-I've-turned-into-a-blithering-idiot-itis. No known cure though it does seem to go away after awhile if you don't constantly feed it (same with guys, you need to feed us constantly, too).

Go with it, learn to speak in his presence and enjoy the ride. There are worse ways to be so fucked.
