today was the last day my manager and i would work together (as she is off on holiday and i leave next friday) so we had a weird goodbye day where neither of us felt like we were going anywhere
still, it was cool. we went out for a mmmmmmmoooooohhhheeeeeeetttttooooo (rum based mint and lime drink), and she gave me some cool earrings as a goodbye present, a nice handwritten letter which actually has some pretty sound advice in it, and a little tin of light cigars- because i was talking about needing them in paris
work itself is dull because i'm leaving, but its not really in a good way. i am excited about the new job but i'm also damn tired! job hopping for success is great- but you have to accept you will keep being the new girl, and frankly i'm feeling a bit lazy at the minute!! i like the fact i know the ins and outs of where i am, or more so- what i can get away with
this weekend could be promising. Hancock is out, and it looks pretty good, so i'll maybe try and catch that, there's a really cool fete going on in london on saturday but i fear i may have too much to do to make it up there. bewl water would have been cool too. sunday i'm going to canterbury to snoop around some people's spare rooms- maybe find somewhere for me to live! urk!
unfortunately my body doesnt like me too much at the minute
i have had this scag skin thing going on for a while, but now its on the side of my head as well as my neck and wrist, and it's not shifting. why don't i find the prescription i got months ago and pick up the cream? no fucking idea.
every piercing is also playing up: ears, nipple, nose are all really sore. salt water isn't working- what's next?
i was thinking about doing something for my birthday, a dvd and meal night in at the flat or something. i picked up a foodie magazine which has lots of ideas for tapas that is exciting, but i do like cooking japanese food too.....hmm! it would be really good to get a group over, but i'm never sure. i hate the awkward mingling thing where everyone sticks to those they know. i do that too. why do we do that? how do we ever make friends??
trying to make up my mind about what i want to see in paris. there's lots of options and not much time or money!! im sure whatever i stumble upon will be good, anywhere but this town seems like paradise
p.s. who else loves toto?
