Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you! I believe you are sincere in your desire to make amends and it good that you've accept the consequences of your actions on Hugh life, but if I were in Hugh's shoes, I'd probably find it pretty damn difficult to have anything to do with you. Trust is always earned, never given, and once broken, almost impossible to repair!! HOWEVER, I don't want to discourage you from making amends, because it's the right thing to do and it could possibly offer Hugh much needed closure. Therefore, I'd suggest you make the effort, but make sure you know where your head really is before going there. Having just recently ended a relationship, you may not be thinking with the clarity you might have a little further removed from the situation. Give it a couple of months, and if you feel the same way, then definitely make the effort to talk to Hugh.
