Ok ok, I know I said I'd post up more pictures of that whirlwind weekend (not even sure if I really did write that) but they will be put up in good time. In the meantime, here are a few quick shots I took of myself a few minutes ago displaying two of my recent camera related purchases.



In this picture you will find a $10 umbrella a friend of mine found being sold at an electric razor shop celebrating their 35th anniversary. Other than being ridiculously large, this umbrella has a silver coloured underside which is perfect to bounce off speed light flash. Secondly is my brand spankin' new SB-600 speed light. This item is officially my very first camera related purchase over $200. Like any other purchase it did "hurt" my wallet a little but I know it'll pay off in the long run. I was lucky enough to operate it during a wedding gig I had last weekend. My arm is still a little sore from lugging around camera body, lens and flash.

I'll leave you with this making of video from TITS and Estevan Oriol. One of my favourite photographers. If you're ever thinking about a bday gift for me, next week, his L.A Woman picture book is definitely at the top of my wishlist.
