so my orals went really really well. they liked the food i brought (mango and kumquat and strawberry and bread and sharp cheddar).. they said that they had fun and that it was a well-done thesis, etc.. yay! now all i have is my german final, and i don't even really care about it at this point. i'll do ok enough to pass either way.. and at this point that's all i care about. my orals were actually pretty fun.. it reminded me of cx debate in high school.. makes me think more seriously again about going to law school. when you get out of there, you're a lawyer - when you get out of grad school with a phd you're either a professor or something unskilled. i think business types respect a law degree more. and then i could make enough money to not have to worry too much, and still have time to write, too, if i didn't let law take over my life. *in pooh bear voice* think think think.

i bought new boots the other day - they kick ass, but they give me blisters. i need to figure out how to modify them so they don't blister me. insoles? cotten stuffed in the toe? hmmm.. they're black vinyl platforms. they're actually tight enough for my calves, which few boots are. yay! i'll figure it out, i'm sure.

i love tasting things. food is such a wonderful thing. i love how mangoes taste perfumed, and tart things make muscles clench, and lavendar tastes really good with goat cheese. mmmm..

time to go and have dinner and relax. wow. i could even start reading a NOVEL! something that i picked myself! good lord, the possibilities!
