so my weekend went pretty well, all told. i missed the senior dinner, and my adviser emailed asking what happened.. i told him that i was passed out cold - which was true. i slept for most of yesterday, and kind of feel like sleeping today, but i should job hunt instead. we had to put a bunch of our wedding money in the bank because we were overdrawn (we'd been keeping it out so we didn't spend it) and so i need to find a job that pays real well. stupid economy.. i'm a reasonably smart, capable girl, and i'll have a degree in a couple of weeks - i should be able to get a job, right? the people that i interviewed with haven't gotten back in touch with me yet - it's been almost a week.. stress, stress, stress.

and more stress about my thesis orals. turned in the thesis, yes, but i'm not done until i defend it. and the problem is that much of it is based on instinct, not proof.. i don't know if they're going to like that.

it was so beautiful and sunny on friday. i wore sunscreen for the first time this year. i hope that it starts being nice again soon. beautiful weather makes me happy and warm.

the world looks washed out today. overcast and sad. the greens look military instead of alive, and the blues look like a tired crayon instead of tempera paint. the sky is bright without much color, bright that blinds with white instead of vividness.

speaking of vividness, i need to re-dye my hair. it's faded. sorry i never posted pictures - my housemate's digital camera never appeared from the depths of his room. i'll try next time.
