Agreed, but then again alot of people can't find anything else to say unless they are talking about themselves. Conversations about good literature, good natured debates on politics and religion, and commentary on the social impact of the most recent play at the local theater are few and far between.

People take everything personally, and since we no longer assume positive intent within our social interactions a simple comment when playing devil's advocate to spark debate is seen as a personal attack. The exchange of ideas is no longer safe if you want to maintain friendships.

Hey, try uploading your picture again. There was a problem not too long ago that caused uploaded profile pics to not be uploaded properly, but it was fixed shortly thereafter. If you tried to upload it during that time and it failed, and you didn't try again, that could be causing your problem. If that doesn't work, post in this thread and someone may be able to take a closer look.
