From the finding of the special rice, to mixing it with the special vinegar, to cutting the fish by hand to the actual rolling...
It can just be a clusterfuck.
Just make sure you have a supersharp knife to cut with, otherwise, you're just wasting your time. I'm talking a knife as sharp as the devil himself.
My advice is to make the sushi I make for my cousins, and it's supersimple.
1. put peanut butter and and your fav. jelly on white bread.
2. Cut the crusts off.
3. Roll it up (but not too tight to squish the guts out.
4. Slice like hand rolls
5. Serve on little Asian plates with tiny tea cups of milk.
