I'm so horrible about writing blogs. I get caught up in life and I just even forget the option is there. So on the last day to do my homework, (it's just like high school all over again) I'm finally going to get this blog done. ^-^
Basically this week is about a business we would own, or if we have one, tell you about it. Well, I don't own a business, but one of my dreams is to own a bakery and coffee house.
Now, I don't know very much about coffee, other than I love it and it tastes delicious. My passion is baking. It's honestly therapeutic for me. When I'm upset or stressed I just go to my kitchen and start making cookies. (And no, I don't eat all the cookies. ;) I just enjoy making them)
Alright, so my bakery. I don't have a name picked out, I just haven't been able to come up with anything I like. Although, on the inside I picture warm hard wood floors, big windows to let beautiful sunlight in, with small tables for seating and a long display case/ counter to hold my baked goods.
As for the yummy stuff, I have a few recipes I want to use and others I want to try out. I know I'll make cookies, coffee cakes, brownies, small fruit pastries, and my great grandmother's fruit muffins. I'll make homemade marshmallows, scones, loafs of bread like buttermilk, white, wheat, French, banana, also lemon. I'll make Snickers bars, Payday bars and even doggie cupcakes too.
At my place I'd want you to feel relaxed and comfortable. You can take a moment out of life to breathe easy and enjoy something delicious. That is the business I would want and the one I dream about having.
