My Mum used to make that for me when i was off school sick as a kid, then my best friend in art college always made it for me when i was hanging out with him and getting all deep and meaningful about my latest disasters of relationships. It's lovely stuff.
Yeah, mostly this state of mind stems from impatience- my girl, the lovely swede has been back there for two months and i'm climbing the walls missing her.
She is coming back on Sunday though, so I may be being a tad melodramatic *cough*

you should actually do a painting of mer-man. i had a friend in art school who basically kept all his toys from when he was a kid and did big lifesized paintings of them and they were awesome.
