well, being in graduate school has just about absorbed every single "free" moment i think i must have had not long ago. what did i do in that time? value changes so abruptly, supply & demand baby...

i recently tried to get a slight promotion at work in order to have a more flexible schedule next semester so i can take more than 2 classes at once, but i wasn't hired because i look like a "pot-smoking hippie" & my northeastern American gestures, attitude, & way of speaking are "annoying to some southerners, come off as abrasive & intimidating", & they wanted me to cut off my locks & no longer wear skirts over pants. i would have gotten my hair cleaned up a bit & changed the clothes, but i think my ways of being would've been a GOOD thing in this job. i'm hard core, i get shit done.

i'm actually quite relieved that, when i asked the universe to give me what i needed, it gave me nothing. i love my current job the way it is & would've been miserable trying to please corporate whores & stiff soulless fuckers. i now remain hanging with the crazy girls & getting to laugh all the day long.
