So many of you may never see this blog as the activity feed seems to be screwing up 
Anyway updates.... Mom had a couple of bad days after the surgery, dizzy spells and poor appetite, but she seems to be back on track now. My sister did come down for the weekend, she left a few hours ago and took my adorable niece with her. Pictures of her in my next blog. Today is more for geek humor to cheer me up. Not that my niece doesn't it's comical the way she runs in terror from me whenever she sees me.
I gotta love my sister though, she drove nearly three hours to come visit, then she was kind enough to give me all of Saturday off. I spent all day with my buddy Kelsey, (He's a Bruins fan) we watched the hockey game, they lost (I was happy) we drank a LOT of gin, I was drunk by 4pm which hasn't happened since my days in the Army, and I kicked his ass at every Kinect game they he had, drunk off my ass.
It was a great day to forget all my responsibilities worries and everything else that is going on, I didn't even have to worry about my son seeing me drunk, he was with his mother this weekend. The realities were waiting for me when I got home which made me feel more than a little guilty when I got home. I mean everyone was passed out asleep at 4am when I stumbled through the door but still.
Nothing was any different than if I would have been there, nothing changed with mom, the dishes were done meals were cooked, but still, I felt a little bad for having fun while my sister was doing my job. With her two year old in tow.
The hangover was my punishment, my niece is two and already in gymnastics, so if you have any idea what kind of terror a two year old can cause, now add gymnastics to it, and my guest room is in the basement so yeah it was a short drunken sleep.
Despite my guilt which is slowly fading I do feel better for having a day to unwind. It was good. I did need it. I have been wound so damn tight for so damn long. I just wish I had more time to relax like that. Oh well enough moping about what I don't have, here is some awesome nerd humor.
