Well it is finally going to happen!!! It has taken 54 DAYS but it is happening tomorrow night, a "date" with the girl!!!!! The solution was so simple I can't believe that I didn't think of it sooner! Now this will likely land me in the "friend zone" but hey I am confident that I can be charming enough that I may not stay there long. What is this solution you ask? Bring your daughter, I'll bring my son. We aren't going for coffee though, we are going for sushi!! My son is 12, her daughter is 10, maybe he'll score a date too
What a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday too. Not an ideal first date, but it's a start, she is a wonderful woman from what I've been able to judge in out text conversations, and the few sober moments I had at The New Years party.
So now it's time to channel my inner gentleman, and coach my son son the proper use of chopsticks. I had hoped that my lightsaber chopsticks would be here before my next trip to sushi but I'll make due with the ones provided at the restaurant.
Also if anyone has some first date advise that would include meeting the kids I'd love to hear it. This is a first for me. My booty call has two kids but she was never keen on having me meet them one is a grown adult with a kid of her own and her son is 10. Since there was no relationship beyond sex, meeting the family was not her thing.
