So in the yearly tradition I've update my profile picture. Both this picture and my last profile pictures were both taken in a hotels in Amsterdam, both taken on Queens Day. Last year, I was alone after facing a hellish February and March and the saleman smile and class A's hid so much pain. This year, thankfully, it is all behind me and when I took this picture, I had just awoken in a beautiful hotel room and beside me waiting patiently was a great man whom I love very much and I wasn't alone anymore. 
Life has a funny way of working out.
So today, I have just returned from having yet another operation on my head. This one was a lot more painful than the last. There was a lot of digging involved and it seemed to take forever. I just passed out for four hours when I got home because it took so much energy. I now look like a tight head prop
I have a very dramatic bandage on my head. I think I might give work a miss tomorrow.
So I am going to put my feet up for a few days and munch on some painkillers.

I didn't know your profile pic was an annual routine - but then i wouldn't - I wasn't active (much) this time last year. But I like your new one; hope it marks the start of a good year for you.
I don't know what I could have done either. I'm just glad I didn't have to provide a solution.
