Me And My Insomnia
I always get it around this time of year. I lie there in bed, the clock reads 4:00am, I contemplate all sorts of things like taking a random night bus around the city or just going for a walk. But lets face it that is not the brightest thing a lone woman can do in London. So I lie there in silence, I want to be in bed because my body needs rest but the eyes refuse to stay shut for more than 10 seconds. It is like being in a dream, I am awake but everything starts to become a little more surreal
It becomes very frustrating especially when the sun is starting to come up and you realise you have been trying to sleep for six hours.
When I finally did get to sleep I had a terrible dream, I dreamt I shot myself in the head but didn't kill myself, So I was wondering around for days (in my dream) with a bullet in my head waiting for the Doctors to remove it!
I think I am going to take some sleeping tablets
and I will beat this thing the only way I know how.
