Sitting in the water
Watching as the droplets fall from my face

As they touch the water
Each leaves a ripple
The ripples become like thoughts
Each ring conducing the ramblings
Inside of my head

The warmth of the water
Makes me forget my body
The cold air seeping in around the window
Only serves to heighten the crispness
Of these thoughts

That like the rings of the ripples
Keep bumping into each other
As they race to get to the edge of their
Unseen boundaries
Thoughts of tomorrow and what it may bring
Will the sun shine
Will the birds sing
Thoughts of yesterday
Was that
what I really should have said
Or done
Why couldnt she have been the one
Splash
More water over my head
More droplets
More ripples
More of these thoughts

The water grows cold
I stand and look down at the water
Its polluted with my thoughts

As the cold wraps around my body
I watch as the water carries my
Muddled thoughts
Down the drain
