Feel as though I should fill you all in as to what I got up to today- Today is the first Saturday I've had off from work in several years atleast, so it was very exciting.
I went to IKEA with my friend Hayley today. Not sure how common-place IKEA's are in America and Europe, but there's only one in Sydney, and the last time I was there, I was around 10 years old. It wasn't quite like I remembered it, and I was disappointed to learn that adults couldn't get into the ball pit! In my opinion, there's a HUUUUUGE market for adult ball pits!
I found the following print for twenty bucks. I bought it for my supervisor at my Youth Work gig, because she digs anything Owl or Tortoise related. It worked out being much cheaper, because through some weird checkout mixup, we kinda accidentally stole it...
I don't know if all IKEA's have this, but I got a medium soda and a hotdog for only 2 bucks! Score!!!
Also, on the way out, I found a shop that sold leopard print slippers. As a rock 'n roll dirtbag, I have an affinity with all things leopard print, so I HAD to have them to add to my collection of leopard print paraphenelia.
On the way home we stopped by Costco (of which we also have only one of in Sydney) and scored ourselves some bulk-buy thrift savings. Got caught up in the checkout line speaking to two lovely older ladies about myself and the Youth Work I do, together with the occasional gig work ... now, if only I could win over females my own age with the advocating work I do for young people in my local governing area, instead of the 13 to 17 year olds and mature aged ladies nearing menopause by the second... we'd be in business. :/
Also, while I have you- I've used WIX to create a rough edit of my band's web site. It'd be cool if you could suss it out and offer me some feedback.
