Going to the Oakland Zoo today. My mother got a membership so it's *FREE*. I love that word. Hopefully they won't keep us.
Yesterday was Friday the 13th and I had a great day. At work, my manager told me about a possible opening in my old department. I wote an email to the VP and asked to chat with him about it. He's cool for a VP. He kinda reminds me of Samuel Jackson (but older). I may get to go back to the IT side of Human Resources and not even talk to clients!
I am asking for a $10k annual salary increase and additional responsibilites, otherwise I won't take it. I am kinda getting used to being yelled at for payroll issue that aren't my fault.
The other department works a lot of extra hours. Unfortunately, we're salaried, so no OT. I will need to think about that one.
I am really glad that my manager told me about it - that way I don't have to be sneaky to apply.
My husband is still asleep...I SO want to go in there and jump on him. He was up very late and I couldn't hang. I went to bed before 11 and I am not even sure when he came to bed. He never wakes up when the baby wakes up. It's alwqays me. I was hoping that I'd get to sleep in on Mother's day, no fucking luck. I just want to sleep until like 8 or 8:30. I dunno, it's cool. I guess I just get jealous. I never really realized that there is such luxury in having a routine. I can't have a routine because I have to be flexible and stop to do whatever it is for the kids. I guess I will have loads of time when they're teenagers *scary thought* and they're doing their own thing. They will sleep most of the day on weekends if they're anything like I was. Hopefully they're not a lot like me or Dad. Oh well, I was pretty sneaky back in tha day, so they may not get away with much. Oh well, I've got a few years for that drama.
I will stop babbling on about nothing now. Have a swell day.
