Confused today about a few things...but first...Christmas...

Well...except Christmas wasn't that terribly exciting. It's really only meant for families and kids, so it's really wasted on the likes of me...so on to everything else.

So work has become just almost unbearable. The bank I work for is really not offering any promotions w/in the area that I work. Our increases are going to be non-existent, so I'm starting to look for something else as where I'm at is a dead-end for the next year and a half at least. So I started looking around to see what other wonderful positions my bank is offering. Absolutely nothing really outside of working inside a branch...which I've done and won't do again. There's an opening for a Mortgage Loan Officer...salary is based largely off of commission. It would be ballsy to get into...but if I'm going to do it, now would be the time so I can enjoy the returns when the market rebounds. It could be a little bit, but I think I need a change so desperately that I'll go for almost anything.

Then there's another off-the-wall opportunity....I got a phone call the other day from an Air Force recruiter. I had a little bit of interest going back a couple of years and had a message out of the blue. Hell half of my friends are in the military why not me? I don't even have a g/f or a wife like all of them do. Eh...I've been drinking and its just a thought....
