slowly turning to meet him, your neck cracks slightly as you crane it upward to look him in the eye. the words that were meant to be said have turned to dragonflies and with their glinting wings buzzed off into the sun carrying all the courage you possesed along with them.

do you ever wake up and really figure that today will be the day you officially give up on being a part of this human race. sometimes it seems as though it would kill you just to be around them for one more instant, but somehow it doesn't... and that i'll never understand.
