Hell no, I wasn't offended at all, in fact I have such a sick sense of humour it is insane! I did tell my friend Mark (not Sparkster) a similar baby-related joke and he was not impressed in the slightest......the jokes there can be a bit like your car-crash syndrome, you just can't help reading on and uttering a few chuckles about the most taboo topics....
Opticians are like other professionals, if something is a bit tricky and will involve more work for them they just LIE and say it isn't possible - I have an astigmatism too, hence the reason my pesky base curve is ballsed up for these lenses - BUT I WILL HAVE THEM!!!! By hook or by crook......
