The minute I woke up, today, the day lost its luster. For all I know, it was lost before I fell asleep last night. But what do I know, really? Perhaps I lost the luster of this day months ago. Or years. I don't even know what day it is. Oh . . . the second of May . . . huh . . . I'm just gonna black this day out of my calendar next year. Forget all about it.
