I wish I could title journal entries on here, like you can on LJ and such services. Alas.
Anyway, as much as the prospect of reinstalling every goddamned program that I use makes me physically ill, having a nicely cleaned and reformatted computer does me some good. It had been almost a year of this same install, which is way more than Windows XP could...

Working sucks. I don't care for it.
But it IS affording me time to work on my story for National Novel Writing Month (www.nanowrimo.org), which started today. I'm crafting a humorous murder mystery set on Cape Cod. Awesome.
2,316 words so far. Out of 50,000 by the end of November. I can do it!

Nothing wrong with boring. It's way better than drama.
You're a writer. That is so awesome. That's always something I have wanted to do. I just can't ever seem to finish anything I write. Heh.

I just got back from Great Scott in Allston, where I enjoyed a night of dancing. I'd never been to The Pill before, and I don't know what took so damn long. It was a lot of fun, and if any of you were over 21 I'd recommend it

Have fun with the partying and what not. I wish I lived closer to Boston. Than maybe I would actually have something to do this damn weekend!
Shows this weekend kicked ass.
MC Frontalot rocked the house on Friday, helped out by the formidable powers of Optimus Rhyme. The openers Shael Riley and Nate van Ill set the stage nicely, and were excellent as well.
Front signed a sticker for me. It reads "Your beer money is MINE- MCF"

Three things:
1) MC Frontalot and Optimus Rhyme TONIGHT at the Western Front in Cambridge. It's $10. GO SEE THE SHOW. Show some love for the nerdcore hiphop.
2) The Hidden and The Boston League of Women Wrestlers (featuring the one and only Punk Rock Todd) are performing TOMORROW at PA's in Somerville, and it's only like $8. Bury the Needle will also be performing....

I saw the Pet Shop Boys at the Opera House last night, and it was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. I was about 5 rows from the stage. Neil Tennant was this close. It was glorious.
<3 PSB.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' albums Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus are things I've had since release on my computer, and it feels immensely good to finally own the beautiful 2CD set. Not to mention that the second album, The Lyre of Orpheus, is absolutely one of my favorite albums ever. Seriously. Go listen to it now.
And that's not because the whole...

Dude, I have been having some craaaaaaaaaaaaazy dreams lately, and last night you were in one. I just remember that I'd posted about going somewhere on my blog and you and I forget which Suicide Girl wanted to go, but when we got there it was a complete disaster and involved a mattress that wouldn't expand? I dunno, it was freakin' weird.
Harvard Square, for whatever reason, really brings out my creativity. I've spent a number of afternoons this past week sitting in the park outside Grendel's Den and drawing. I've filled up several pages in my sketchbook and written/drawn several comics. Yayz.
Sadly, a new temp job starting tomorrow means this lifestyle will be coming to an end. I guess that's what the weekend is for?...

God I wish I didn't enjoy the song "Welcome to the Black Parade" as much as I do. I feel... dirty.
And Gerard Way looks like my friend Kevin. Weird.
I went dancing at Toast tonight, and it was absurdly fun. A number of good kids came out, and we rocked out. MattLach won tickets to see the Pet Shop Boys (I went almost explicitly...

I competed in the Brattle's spelling bee tonight. I did not win. The word that tripped me up was gemutlichkeit. You wouldn't have gotten it either.
But I DID get a cool hat. That made it worth it. And a book called 100 Words to Make You Sound Smart
This weekend: BBQ for Justice. BE THERE OR BE SQUARE.

What did you do? Wipe your hard drive? My boyfriend and I do that about every 6 months. Clean everything out. It's such a bitch. Takes fooooorever. Ugh.
Take care!
