Also, the latest from The Ergs (Upstairs/Downstairs) is super-awesome if you like somewhat nerdy pop-punk. They have a song called "2nd Foundation" about the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov. Come on! That's awesome. And they name-check the Del Fuegos in the song "Boston, Massachusetts."
Speaking of the Ergs, they're coming to Boston in February with The Gaslight Anthem and the Loved Ones. Very exciting! People should come to the show.
Also, I'm finally able to admit that I like the Alkaline Trio. From Here to Infirmary and Good Mourning are good albums. I haven't heard the latest yet, but I imagine it's equally enjoyable.

Why does Massachusetts breed hardcore and other various forms of "extreme" music? What the hell are those kids so ANGRY about? I'm just wondering cuz i got a job and one of the guys i work with is a straight up like metal and hardcore dude and surprise, surprise, he's from Massachusetts. You guys must be very mean to your children..
