The Hidden rocked the goddamned house last night. I still don't understand how Kevin (singer) can flail around like he does and still bellow the words. It's quite the sight to see.
Also of note were Blood Vessels. Their CD reminds me kind of Black Flag, and I rather enjoy it. The Spitzz were also ok, but their singer's voice annoyed me. At any rate,...

Level 31 atm. I have to rise 27 levels in... 5 days to be ready for The Burning Crusade, and to be able to go through the Dark Portal. Dammit. I don't think I'm going to make it. Especially not if I'm rolling a new character on a new server with Pat & Co. The digital life is hard.

A couple of important things.
I'm still a n00b. My orc warrior is a mere lvl. 29. This is weak (though good for BG!), and I must powerlevel ASAP. LFG SFK. L2Pimo.
I start my job on Monday. I got interim security clearance, which is a load off my shoulders.
My family got a kitty with a heart condition. Basically, he has a hole between...

Who got a real-person job? Yes, that's right, I did. Hoo-ah!
I will be a Data Administrator with Signal Solutions, Inc. (a division of General Dynamics Information Technology). I'm on a contract with the US Army, stationed in Natick, MA. It pays pretty well, and the benefits look sweet.
I'm pretty pumped. I get to work with computers, which is excellent, and I get paid...

success is always a satisfying feeling. But what exactly do you DO as a a Data Administrator? Sounds boring as hell. But then i also hate working with computers excessively. And data.

Do you listen to Peter Murphy? If you don't, why the hell not?
If you don't know who the aforementioned Mr. Murphy is, he's the gentleman singing in this video. Bauhaus FTW.
In other news, I was up till about 3am last night playing Guitar Hero 2 with some friends. "Freebird" is goddamned HARD. Tonight is poker and dancing.

Good News: I got Guitar Hero 1 and 2 for the PS2 and they rock my goddamned socks. I am utterly hopeless (I can barely handle this shit on Medium), but still, wicked fun. Guitar Hero parties in Somerville! YOU ALL WILL COME. All... 3 of you who might read this

I spent last night in line outside a Target store in Enfield, CT, waiting to get my hands on the new Nintendo Wii. It was worth the wait. OMFG, it's awesome. It's now set up in my living room. I need to get some more controllers, because Wii Sports (bundled game) needs to be played with multiple people.
Also, sleep deprivation FTW!

I Waaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnt!
I'm running in Linux now. It's pretty hot, in a super-nerdy way. And I can run World of Warcraft in it through Crossover Linux (I'm told, I have yet to get it running). Got my wireless running after some mucking around with ndiswrapper (nerds, you know what I'm talking about) and some official NVIDIA drivers. FTW.
So yeah. Nerdcooooore!

I wish I could title journal entries on here, like you can on LJ and such services. Alas.
Anyway, as much as the prospect of reinstalling every goddamned program that I use makes me physically ill, having a nicely cleaned and reformatted computer does me some good. It had been almost a year of this same install, which is way more than Windows XP could...

I have thought that too. The bit about the title I mean.
What did you do? Wipe your hard drive? My boyfriend and I do that about every 6 months. Clean everything out. It's such a bitch. Takes fooooorever. Ugh.
Take care!

Working sucks. I don't care for it.
But it IS affording me time to work on my story for National Novel Writing Month (www.nanowrimo.org), which started today. I'm crafting a humorous murder mystery set on Cape Cod. Awesome.
2,316 words so far. Out of 50,000 by the end of November. I can do it!

Nothing wrong with boring. It's way better than drama.
You're a writer. That is so awesome. That's always something I have wanted to do. I just can't ever seem to finish anything I write. Heh.

I just got back from Great Scott in Allston, where I enjoyed a night of dancing. I'd never been to The Pill before, and I don't know what took so damn long. It was a lot of fun, and if any of you were over 21 I'd recommend it

Have fun with the partying and what not. I wish I lived closer to Boston. Than maybe I would actually have something to do this damn weekend!
Shows this weekend kicked ass.
MC Frontalot rocked the house on Friday, helped out by the formidable powers of Optimus Rhyme. The openers Shael Riley and Nate van Ill set the stage nicely, and were excellent as well.
Front signed a sticker for me. It reads "Your beer money is MINE- MCF"
Tonight was The Hidden, Bury the Needle, and the Boston League of Women...
