It's dangerous for me to go onto the Asian Man Records site. When I do, I end up buying stuff. Last time, I got some buttons for my new messenger bag, plus the O Pioneers!!! 7". This time, replacing the Plea For Peace "Real Men Don't Use Violence" button, I ended up also getting an Asian Man Records iron-on patch, and the Alkaline Trio's self-titled...

Saw Harvey Danger's farewell tour stop in Boston on Friday night. You can read my thoughts on the show here. It was pretty awesome! I wish I had been more familiar with their catalog, though. Still, great time. Bummed that this is the end of them!

Shit, man. I just watched You Think You Really Know Me: The Gary Wilson Story, a documentary about- duh- Gary Wilson. For those who don't know, Gary's this cat from Endicott, NY, who back in the '70s, wrote and recorded this album, You Think You Really Know Me, in his parents' basement. This album is a complete fucking trip. You gotta hear it....

I just spent a week in beautiful Provincetown, MA, with some of my best friends. It was awesome! You can see some of the pictures here. Check it!

I have acquired $11.50 in credit to spend with No Idea Records (website) and have no idea what to get. I'm sampling their recent releases, to see if anything strikes my fancy. Unfortunately (or...

Man. Weather here in Somerville is supposed to be rainy and unpleasant tomorrow. I had hoped to get people together to sit on my porch and drink margaritas and daiquiris and things. But, alas! My grand, drunken ambitions have likely been thwarted by the weather.

Not that I can't still have people over to listen to music and drink wine and beer. Still, though. I...

"Keep the spirits up with a smile

We'll still be the best of friends.

-The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, "Pirate Ship" (vinyl-only bonus song from Question the Answers)

Someone from the Bosstones forum (the 737!) hooked us up with a higher-quality rip of this song recently. It's so, so great. It just reminds me why...

OK, before I decide to leave this site, I will make an attempt to be social. Or something. At the very least, I'd like to encounter people in the Boston area to go to punk and ska shows with. Or to clue me into the cool shit going down. Joinin' groups, bein' active, whoa hey.

Speaking of shows, I'm pissed I missed seeing Off With...

OK, I'm going to make an effort to use this blasted blog more. Because obviously, between LiveJournal and my website (GDTS, yo. Check it.), I don't have enough blogs.

Well, to recap events of the last... long time.

I continue to move on up at work and get better at my job. I seemed to have narrowly avoided being forced into a job...

You know what's awesome? The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. In particular, their Hometown Throwdown shows. I went to 3 of the 4 they performed at the Middle East Nightclub in Cambridge, MA this year, and it was incredible. If my friends and I hadn't had our Luxury Party (pics at my flickr) on Saturday, I would have gone to all four. Such an incredible live show!
