i dunno about nostalgia and all, for me at least i kinda wanted to leave home but that wasnt because i hated the town it was just more so that i wanted to experience something different.
i usually dont mind the town where i live during the school year but i do feel a compelling need to escape to north jersey every few weeks. central NJ just kinda pisses me off sometimes for whatever reason, i think its cause the soil there is red which is so wtf to me, where im from we dont got that crap, haha
