things are feeling much better. tonight i have to run subjects for my lab and then i get to play with baby rats! tomorrow i wake up at dawn and drive three hours north to my hometown. it's always sort of odd coming home now...i remember wanting nothing more than to never see that hell-hole again when i left for college. now that i've stepped away from it, i appreciate it much more. now it is cincinnati that i can't wait to leave. which sort of makes me wonder if that's just how it will always be...nostalgia for past, resentment for present, and hope for future. which i guess could extend to a lot of things in life.

it's definately one of those not really appreciating something till it's gone kind of thing.


.....but if you think about it, that's definately kind of a good thing.

i dunno about nostalgia and all, for me at least i kinda wanted to leave home but that wasnt because i hated the town it was just more so that i wanted to experience something different.


i usually dont mind the town where i live during the school year but i do feel a compelling need to escape to north jersey every few weeks. central NJ just kinda pisses me off sometimes for whatever reason, i think its cause the soil there is red which is so wtf to me, where im from we dont got that crap, haha tongue
