i got into the WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) program! i'll be working in a lab this summer and doing research with actual scientists. i'm pretty excited, but i'm also a little sad, considering i won't be seeing my family or significant other, as they're 3 hours away.
i guess i'm feeling better. every so often when i feel like i'm wasting my life, i call my boy and think about how nice it would be to have a family someday, and how much doing what i'm doing now will help.
also, it helps to realize that my life would not be on haitus if i didn't PUT IT THERE.
