Roll Your Own:
I've now tried the Norwegian, London, Amsterdam and Danish tobaccos by Peter Stokkebye. Of them the only one I care for is the Danish blend. It has a mild clean taste and comes in my favorite fine cut. This is a pure tobacco, no stems or woodshavings to add to flavor and more importantly none of that musky roasted after-taste. Of the three remaining the Norwegian was the most aromatic and, though advertised to have a mild smoke, was on the overwhelming side. The London was a nice change of pace for the occasional evening smoke, but I found I prefer to mix it with 1/3 Danish. The Amsterdam is just a milder form of the Norwegian in my opinion, but it's been a while since I smoked that.
I'm thinking about sampling some other companies with the next shipment, but that's about a month away. Plenty of time for research until then.
Meanwhile ...
The house is almost completely clean! Now if I could just get rid of the husband it will stay that way! Just kidding. Kinda. No really, I love him to death, but for gods sakes, when the hamper is a mere two feet away why would you drop your clothes on the floor? And why is it when he pops open another soda I look around and see five empties sitting serenely in their new posts as rubbish? I've considered tying a garbage bag to his belt and seeing if he gets the message.
Eventually I have a digital camera in the house so I can finally post pics of the various things I've crocheted. This holiday season will be a blast when it comes to the giving. Though it will be one of the cheaper seasons for me it will also be the most full of love.
