So I'm starting to get pretty perturbed with this guy who's gonna hire me to do a database site for him. He first called me on like the 17th or so of April, and asked if I could do the job for him, I said I'd have to do some research and find out, he called back like a week later or so, and I told him I could. He said he'd call back soon, and I'm thinking "sweet, I have the next two weeks off from school, I can knock this out and have a nice check at the end of it." He never calls back, so I figure he found someone else, I move on. Then the first week of school(about 3 weeks ago) he calls out of the blue and says he wants to hire me, we plan have a meeting when he flies down at the end of the month(tomorrow.) He tells me he'll call at the beginning of this week to set up a time to meet. He doesn't, but he does call me Wednesday night at like 7 pm, he's in town, we're gonna have a meeting to go over stuff and get a contract going, he tells me he'll call tomorrow(tonight) to set up a time. He finally calls at like 8PM, only to tell me that he left all his documents in Nevada and that he doesn't have time to meet because he needs to visit his nephew or something. New plan: he'll FedEx me all the documentation. I'm like "well, we need to at least meet to negotiate a contract, plus I really don't have any idea what this project is and I need some info so I can start doing some preliminary stuff." So, the meeting is back on for tomorrow AM.

He better not pull a bunch of shit like this when it's time for him to pay me.


Ok, ranting over. This new semester is going really really well. My classes are decent, the instructors actually know what they're talking about, and the internship is great. A lot of the IT guys even know more about computers than I do, which rocks. My teacher for Win2k does too. It's nice to finally have a computer teacher that knows more than I do, that hasn't happened in years. That's not me being arrogant, I've just had a lot of really shitty teachers recently The first two weeks of this term were seriously like the best two weeks in a really really long time.
