So I didn't win the TV, but I do get a consolation prize. I get to pick something from the group of prizes from the prize package right below the TV.

Better than nothing. I'm not complaining. Very happy.

Looking forward to three days off starting Saturday. And looking forward to the 5th Annual Burlesque Fest here in NYC!

Hey! I heard you got to meet Daniel tonight! Glad you were able to find him!
miss_adel:
Wow, you had quite the weekend, haha.

Holy crap, you are going there?! Congrats! I am wicked jealous! You have to take lots of pictures and show me! biggrin

You are going everywhere! I wish my life was half as interesting as yours, haha.

This past weekend all I did was work and sleep, haha. that was it.

So it appears my manager has once again lied to me. I did not miss my goal by four grand--I missed it by $201 and some change. So now my bosses are going over the numbers to see if I win the 28" flat screen TV for hitting my goal or not. Guess it depends on how generous they want to be.

Running off to...

Ugh. I hate it when people do shady stuff like that. My old manager at Office Depot did that and now he's under investigation for unfair business practices. I kicked ass on commissions but I wonder how much he gouged our numbers.

Guess who's going to Vegas, Baby?!

For the second year in a row, I'm the #2 salesperson in the entire store for Hearts On Fire Diamonds! And that means I win a free all-expense paid trip to Vegas for the Hearts On Fire special training that they have there. Intensive training during the day and intense partying at night! Yeah! smile

mad mad mad mad Last night, before both bosses left the store, I asked them if there was a training tomorrow morning (we have them almost every Friday) they both said yes. I told them it was my day off, do I really have to be there for this particular training. They both said yes. So I woke up at 5am so I could be in the City at...

Opened my e-mail and got one of those wonderful notices from my bank alerting me that my account ballance is super low. I'm gabling that nothing cashes against it until I get paid tomorrow. I didn't make commission this month, which sucks, cause my salary is a fraction of what I make.

So knowing that I'm super short this month, what do I do? I...

mad Ugh! Very stressful stuff going on at work. Fuckups on both the client and our side. But of course the customer is always right. I have to learn not to let this stuff bother me. But it's a lesson I have not learned my entire life. Maybe I sould read "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" again. mad

This always brings me a little smile when I'm pissed off. It's silly, cute and very fun.

I read that book! It was more of an off-hand read than an actual help.

Yeah, I've learned to leave work at work so I can have something of a life.

Saw the new Jason Bourne movie. Non-stop action. Loved every minute of it. Don't miss it!

Also got to do most of my laundry and some cleaning up around the house. I have tomorrow off too, and plan to practice some new sleights.

I actually really dig it- thanks for asking!

It isn't too hard but it's not exactly brainless work either. My super actually lets me take real breaks and I have time to get some sketching in between rushes.

How are the new sleights coming along?
rosehips:
I like the Bourne movies. They are fun. Have not seen the last one yet, but I plan too.

Nice to see you are still around on here. smile

Eight days since I last posted. It's been stressful at work and I haven't had much time or much of anything to post about.

Turns out I need to sell 90 grand a month from now until December in order to make my goal. I have to do another 50 grand this month--and it's super slow this month.

Just booked my trip to Nawlins for...

That festival looks like so much fun! I am totally jealous.

I used to have a recurring dream of drowning in pitch black water. I was very happy when those finally stopped.
salome:
Of course I'm not mad at you, honey! You always make me smile!

I've just had my hands full with this contest thing. I spend literally about four hours on Myspace each day trolling for votes to make sure I stay in the lead, and this chick is still gaining on me. (Maybe I'm biased, but when I watched her video I found her so annoying I couldn't even get as far as her favorite horror movie.)

Christ, if this is what the first round is like I dread the final! Assuming I win, that is.

I'm sorry honey. I've been a bad internet friend. I will respond to you, I promise. I've got three full days of the Wizard World convention here tomorrow Friday and Saturday, then two rehearsals and a photoshoot Sunday, so I won't be able to write you a proper message until MOnday at the earliest.

kiss

Had a great time at the event. I opened the dance floor with one of my co-workers, we did some ballroom type moves and for the first time in years (according to my boss) people actually joined the dance floor. Normally, they'd just sit eat and listen to the band.

Danced all night till I couldn't move anymore. Had one of the most fun times...

Going to my first Black Tie event tonight. Excited and a bit nervous. It's a company thing.

The idiots at The Mens Wearhouse (Their spelling, not mine!) left out the suspender buttons on the back of the pants when they did the alteration, now I have to run to them during my luch hour and have them do it right then and there!

Stress! mad

I named the gecko Lani, a unisex Polynesian name that means "sky". I figured it was culturally appropriate, given where his species is native to, and it was a much nicer unisex name than "Pat".
