what an odd weekend.
Jelly is for now, ok, her chest x-rays came back better than anticipated, not so much fluid, and her heart is enlarged and round. which is causing the pressure when she gets excited for her to cough.
She is on a waiting list for an Echo cardiogram, so we can see when it is safe for her to under go anesthesia for her dental, She is on 2 new meds, now, one is a diuretic, and the other is a heart pill.
I'm so grateful that it's not as bad as it could be.
On my way back from picking Jelly up i got a text. I didn't recognize the # right away , but there was a history of text that dated back to August of last year.
The message said, " Hey I am In town on Business on Monday, would you be avail for dinner on Sunday"?
I scroll up to see the text history, and it was my half brother that i found last summer. and i had texted him if he got my message about being related to him, and he at that time said he needed time to think about it, I never pursued the issue. Almost a year later we are finally going to meet.

So he told me to pick my favorite spot or a restaurant that i always wanted to go to. So i picked Roy's
It was strange and exciting, i was nervous, I'm not even sure how to put it right now. I'm just happy that someone from that side of my background acknowledged me for once.
We had very interesting conversations, I found out that my father has no family illnesses to speak of yet.
He's a trial lawyer in Boston. I'm still thinking of how i feel about the whole thing.
Life is always keeping me on my toes.
