I acted in a friends film this week. I was a non-speaking Henchman.
I got to hit people with sticks, poison them, and abduct your women. I may have found my calling (acting that is).
I feel quite refreshed, but this is tainted by the thought of back to work on Monday.
I'm thinking I should take up acting classes so that I can learn to speak convincingly as well as wield a stick. Then again I have more passtimes to feed than there are hours in the day. Trying to teach myself to play the guitar (again!), at the same time as developing my sculpting (spend the other part of last week stone carving), and doing Letterpress Printing/ Printmaking/ Book Arts. Somethings got to give.
Still, I've almost weened myself off television completely. I'm thinking of decommissioning it and sticking it in the roof (it's small).
I'm also trying to address the book storage problem, which has turned into an immensely involved DIY project, which is taking precious time away from my other activities.
On top of all that (sigh), the students are back this week, and I have to start teaching again (though truth be told, I do enjoy that more than the rest of my job).
I'm procrastinating again. I was supposed to be writing my PhD proposal (Oh, and I'm listening to Queenadreena).
