Fuuuuuuuuuuck....

Pete Yorn, you're killing me with your soulful gravely voice and bittersweet lyrics.

Out of the frying pan and into the fryer...or...if i knew then what i know now and then was only a week ago...or...jumping from one sinking ship to another...or...my life's more than a bit topsy turvy right now govs. So i went from one job that was closing up shop and...

I'm sorry-- wish I were in a position to do something, but my super-powers only extend so far. Like, possibly to Alabama.

Ugh...had a job interview today and i think it both sucked and blew. The prinicple of the school spoke no english and the supervisor spoke only broken English...though apparently enough to recognize my last name as Polish surreal They asked me questions and didn't give me a chance to answer any...said they thought my height would scare children (though in reality they love it and see...

Damn, man. All that sounds kind of disheartening. I hope that you get the better job this week and that things start looking a little more positive.

Thanks for the comment on the pics, I hate every pic that's ever been taken of me but it's nice to know people actually pay attention.

Peace.

Oh, man, I was waiting for an update concerning South Korean music. Wait until you get a chance to watch their soap operas for any amount of time. biggrin

What happens when parents spend nearly 40% of their monthly income on their children's education so they can get good jobs? There's not enough money left over to keep the economy going to ensure those good jobs are still there when it's time for the chick to leave the nest...or so the rational goes.

What happens when the government notices this? They force companies to...

Leif Garret?! You bastard!

What's this noise about South Korean computers? You aren't there are you?

Sorry as hell to hear about your job, pal. They're obviously prejudiced towards tall (superior) people.

One of the greatest days of my life, OK not greatest but amusing, was when a group of Japanese high school girls followed me around and pretended to feint when getting too close to me.

I'm sure the same ego inflating events happens to you on a daily basis. Long live the talls!

Well, so i'm down here in South Korea. Weird...it still hasn't sunk in yet that i'm actually here, though it's undeniable every time i look out the window. I sorta feel like i'm stuck in the world's largest China Town...or rather Korea Town. And in many ways i am...Seoul has nearly 20 million people!!!! Crazy.

The flight down here was pretty damn long, but i...

I don't think you can do that. What you can do with your passport is be escorted in the base by a military servicemember. The base exchange (basically the mall) generally doesn't let people without a valid military ID in (they check, too). The smaller shops around, though, are not as stringent--unless you're trying to buy something like booze or smokes.

I'm just trying to go through the motions on this last year, to be honest with you. smile

So Baltimore/Charm city was a good time. The train ride was pretty freaking long, but it was fairly comfortable. At least i had a nice person sitting next to me to talk to and pass the time with...and she was pretty cute too hehe. So, Pittsburgh to Philadelphia was a pretty decent ride, but Philadelphia to Baltimore sucked pretty hardcore as the train was standing...

So I went and saw Flogging Molly last night. They were fucking BAD-ASS! When they played Black Friday Rule that motherfucker wailed on the guitar like nobody i've ever seen. They're so energetic and awesome. Good god, if any of you reading this ever have a chance to see them, GO!!!! You will not be dissappointed, particularly if you're a fan of the Irish Folk/Punk...

Pittsburgh reminds me a lot of Rochester, NY. That's sort of where I grew up. Ya know, PHilly does have a lot going on but I really don't take advantage of it anymore. I would like to move fairly soon. It's just a matter of working it all out. Ya know that whole job thing. Plus, it's hard leaving close friends behind.

Glad you had fun at the show. smile
