Great things about 2011:
Jay asked me to marry him and bought me a beautiful ring.
I lost 25lbs (and have more or less kept it off).
I saw my older brother Elliott for the first time in a few years.
Jay and I went camping together for the first time.
I bought a car for the first time.
I got everything I wanted and more for Christmas!
Goals for 2012
Get Married!
Continue getting healthier and feel like I can kick someones ass.
Pay off my last credit card ($1000)
Finish my bachelors degree
I think I can do it all. I've made an action plan of sorts with more specifics and I want to challenge myself. Really - this has been in the works the last month or so and now its time to stick it out.
Anyhow - I've been working loads. SO many 10+ hour days. omeganightmare has been pretty super. He's been washing dished and doing laundry and helping out around the house.
I'm totally looking forward to Wednesday. It'll be my first day off in 10 days. Jay and I are going to hang out. Then that night i'm going to my friends house for dinner. She and her fiance just broke up - it's very sad.
More sad news - a friend of mine suddenly died a few days ago. We hadn't been in much touch the last few years but we went to high school and Sacramento State together. We had the same birthday. She was at an indoor trampoline place and passed out. Then she stopped breathing. She wasn't able to be revived. She's leaving a very young son behind. But so life goes- its a good reminder to live life to the fullest. And it's a really big motivator for making 2012 a year of fun, health, happiness and accomplishments.
Now onto good things - I'm looking forward to having a date next week with a girl. It's the first person I've found through OKcupid that seems worthwhile. She's not what I usually consider my 'type'. Shes skinny, with small boobs and boyish charm. I'm intrigued. Hopefully things go well but if not c'est la vie.
I got to hang out with Jace a few weeks ago. It was great seeing him. Once again - I forgot to take a picture with him! Doh.
I also met the sweet and pretty scarymissmary. Shes a cool chick and hopefully we will hang out some more once my schedule mellows out.
I have a lot of family drama going on still - but for now i'm just not focusing on it. I can only deal with so much at one time. Right now focusing on my life and keeping things positive is all I can do.
Eh - I guess thats all I have for now.
Soon i'll make a blog with pictures or something more exciting.
