Jay and I are looking into buying a house. He qualifies for the Good Neighbor Next Door program which sells houses half price to firemen, teachers, EMTs and police.
Of course there are restrictions...there are few houses to choose from, we have to live there for 3 years and there is possibly one BIG issue... I'm not sure if we can buy a house in county we currently live in.
If we can't then this plan in out the window. Jay works in one county and we live in a different one. Its possible that we have to buy in the area in which Jay works. So, I'm waiting to hear back from the broker I contacted and hes going to try and figure it out for me.

I already called HUD- whom the program is through... and they are clueless.

Anyhow, it'd be great to buy a house... even if its a fixer-upper.
If we can buy a house before I turn 22 then we'd live in it for 3 years and i'd be 25. When I turn 25 I get my trust fund money... and we could buy a second house and either sell or rent out the first house.

We will see.. i'm trying not to get my hopes up.

Although even if we can't get a house through GNND we also qualify for CalHFAs first time home-buyers program..so there are still options its just a house 50% off is definitely an amazing deal.

Anyhow.. I have today and tomorrow off and i'm home alone.
I may be going into SF to see Jace today.
Hopefully I'll clean the house a bit and get some homework done too. However.. its almost noon and I'm sitting naked and unshowered.

I've also lost 18 lbs now... I'm hoping to have great progress in May. I'm going to try and box with Daniel 3-5 times a week and skate weekly.

I'll also be going to Merced and Sacramento May 5-7th. It will be a good time. I'm looking forward to SGSAC bbq.
