my official interview for the position of manager is Thursday morning, in the main office. it's gonna suck having to get up early and drive into the city. if it goes well, though, i'm going to have to take a little trip to the mall and do a victory dance in the store i used to work in. the one where they were hesitant to even let me be a sales supervisor after my first year (and then literally BEGGED me not to leave when i moved out of the city).
at this point, if i don't get the promotion, i will probably look for a new job. because i know how much more i'll be making (can you say almost twice as much...plus profit sharing that allegedly works out to about $1000 extra bucks a week in December) and it's tooooo tempting. plus i'd really resent whoever was the new manager. just because. not on purpose or anything. so if i leave i might get back into food service. good money in cooking.
the raise would really help to pay for my upcoming TRIP OF AWESOMENESS to New York around Halloween.
