i just read in a random semi-local paper that happened to be lying in the kitchen while i was making my chai that a bunch of chicks are starting a roller derby down in Portland. soooo tempting...if i still lived in Portland i'd definitely check it out but i don't think i can devote driving half an hour each way to something like that when i already have a limited amount of time. i had so much more time when i lived there, because i didn't have to take special trips to see my boyfriend - he was right there with me. BUMMERRR. they have to start it like a year after i move out of the city. whatever

in other news, there's this kind of creepy guy that just moved to town apparently, i guess there's something wrong with him but i can't figure out what. he's not old or anything (no more than ten years older than i am) and he's just lonely as hell....but he's creepy. he comes in and tries to talk to me and my coworkers for like an hour each day. never fucking buys a thing. keeps me from my work. and has a huuuuuge crush on me. he really, really creeps me out. and now i can't even take a lunch break without him showing up and making my previous enjoyment of a tasty sandwich and a quick check-in on my Animal Crossing town incredibly awkward. it's not like i can be mean to the guy but he really really freaks me out, probably for no real reason. i dunno. i just keep hoping he'll just disappear but he doesn't. why couldn't he just be an obnoxious frat boy that invites me to a party and when i turn him down and say i'm heading to my boyfriend's house after work, just yells "WELL YOU COULD HAVE TOLD ME SOONER THAT YOU HAD A BOYFRIEND" to try and make himself not feel like an idiot for hitting on a girl who was only nice to him because she was ringing him up? that was so much easier, there's so many more creeps in my college hometown than at the mall.
