okay, now multiply that frustration by about 100,000, and you will come close to understanding the daily frustration felt by vegans and vegetarians, who are told both implicitly and explicitly that we're either sickly, insane, fanatics, liars, idiots, preachy zealots, out to destroy american jobs, or (my favorite) terrorists. yes, there is a lot of bad information out there, but it comes from both sides and it's not easy to sort it all out.
i couldn't have said it better myself. i am an extreme minority, being a vegan in the navy (almost done!!!) and knowing only one vegetarian (my boss) and one vegan (my wife). i can't expect anyone to agree with me or even understand what i'm saying anymore...i'm just getting sick of all of the "what if" questions...you know what i'm saying..."what if you were stranded on a deserted island, would you eat meat then?" "what if you had a disease that could only be cured by eating a giant plate of beef?" i've fucking heard them all...
all i can do is try and make a good impression by sticking to my guns...and keep learning...
in other news...i'm still sick
have a great day!!!
