one of you out there asked me to suggest a book, and i think i suggested 20.
so, let this be a warning to the rest of you. don't ask me to suggest a good book. i have a problem.

catdad:
You've probably already decided, but my personal favorite would be e. d is a close second, but wouldn't take as long, so I'm thinking you could do d and one of the others.
michel gondry is pretty fascinating. someone loaned me a dvd with his videos and short films.
i'm reading a book called bobby fischer goes to war. it's about bobby's attempt to break the soviet stranglehold on the world chess championship. fischer was a genius. he was also (is also, i guess) quite a wack job.

Hmmm....I forgot about the Swimming poster. Nice catch.
Sometimes you have to make light of it....there were plenty of times when my dad and I would joke around in the embalming room. Nothing really rude or disrespectful, but most people wouldn't understand why things were funny to us. There were even some really funny moments at my grandfather's funeral, like the octogenarian riflemen arguing and firing off cue during the 21 gun salute.

no cable?!!! i can't do that. there's too much good stuff on the channels that nobody watches (trio, link, newsworld international, bbc america, etc.) and i've gotta have my cubs games. i almost never watch the crap they put on the big 3. fortunately i have 2 other people to split the bill with, so it doesn't cost me too much.

"she was a milk-warm girl in bad odor with herself, glad to have at last come down in the world."
is it possible he's better than he was? can gary lutz really do the one thing i didn't think he could do: make me...

tiny plastic nun on a window sill.
today, i was in a thrift store. on the radio, i heard an ad for a weekly fundamentalist service in one of the little burgs outside of seattle. they offer, in addition to salvation and eternal life:
free coffee
free krispy kreme donuts
plenty of parking
