does emmett make excited chattering noises when he sees birds? my cats make a big fuss over birds and squirrels in the tree outside my kitchen.

Hey.
I may be leaving the site very soon. I'm not sure. When in doubt, I can be reached at leroyjenkins69@hotmail.com. My 'voice mail' number will be 503-201-0334. I will only leave the site if it feels right (see 'the site' - sg move to LA?)
If this is about to expand the way I feel it is, I don't want to be around for it. 'Spooky' is already an LA kid; he just had a little vacation up here because it was an untapped resource.
Opportunism knocks; I refuse to open the door.

i got gus from the SPCA when he was 10 months old. i like to think that he ran off in search of adventure and chased car after car until someone nabbed him and took him to the shelter. maybe emmett ran away too...just hopped a train one day and didn't look back...wound up in seattle hungry and tired. so keep an eye on him!

My brother, who is essentially Canadian and was a big-shot computer guy for decades emailed me today that he, who has been unemployed for 2 years(!), is thinking of becoming a truck driver in Canada because it is one of the few job openings available in all of N. America.
Oh, Jesus! What to say about that?!?
So. Currently I am reading the new Coover book (Pierre) and Balzac and the Little Seamstress.
I miss lunabelle like an arrow pulled out of my side. :sigh:

Are those 'Lullaby' references? About the war of acceleration that occurs when people try to out-volume each other?

This is my favorite rejection letter:
"Your manuscriot was given careful consideration by a member of our editorial staff, but we regret to say that Harper's Magazine is unable to use it.
There is no graceful way to return this manuscript with a printed form, and the great number of manuscripts we receive makes it impossible for us to thank you personally for your submission.
We appreciate your submission, however, and hope you have success placing it elsewhere."
So classy, huh? But they still, of course, are saying no.
Have you heard of Mr Boffin's Bubble? It sounds like a children's book.
