we scheduled the game at six, but only jacks made it on time. a friend of his arrived a few minutes later. three not enough, i turned on a copy of "jackass: the moive" to watch while we waited for the san antonio kid, and his girl.

We used to play penny ante poker at most of the family gettogethers. Haven't done it for a couple of years now, though. Could easily win or lose a couple of dollars over the evening. I liked baseball, 7-card stud, and 5-card draw. Baseball was always my dad's favorite. He'd also deal hi-lo and occasionally something I think was called Monte Carlo. He loved the more complicated ones. The women in the family always dealt 7-card no-peeky, which I'm rather embarrassed about now that I've just typed that. I'd only resort to calling wildcards if my hands were sucking. Guts is a good game for kids to start with.
