ARRRGH
i went in to my local tattoo shop today to ask about getting a tattoo done, and the woman on the desk was quite sketchy when i asked and showed her the print off of what i wanted. She said the guy might not do it because it doesnt look very good... I explained that its just a sketch by Darwin, who was a scientist not an artist, so it does have some meaning and isnt just a sketchy squigly thing i did on the bus down there and she asked. The guy said he would need to see the book it came from before he gave me a quote on it.
So now i am having to re-thing the design because he wont do just the bits i wanted before....so HERE is my new idea
This is all gonna go down whats probably gonna be my right fore arm because there is a little more room there than on my left.
So where as before i was just going to have the actual tree diagram and the 'I Think' bit at the top, im now thinking i will have the writing underneath aswell, so that it puts the diagram in some sort of context to keep the tattoo man happy, fucking picky artists ITS MY FUCKING MONEY YOU BASTARD.
Anyway im not really that angry because i think it will look pretty good, the 'I Think' will be near my wrist, then the diagram bellow. I dont actually know what the text bellow says, so i think i will replace it with the following Darwin quote, but in a similar style of font i hope.

Anyway im a bit pissed i couldnt get a quote, but still i will go down there with this new idea and see what he says about that.
All this is gonna cost MORE money so i might have to wait longer for it, but still we shall see. i hope its not too expensive because i really really want to get it done, i am tired of home and need this to cheer me up!
Oh and here are a couple of scenes from Love actually which are basically my whole reason for liking the film.
This is what i picture my trip to america (when i have a job and money grrr) will be like...if its not i want a re-fund
And this is the best scene in the whole thing. Basically the guy is in love with his best friends wife. She is under the impression that he actually hates her until she discovers he has just been mean because he loves her but he is putting his friends happiness before his own.. Anyway he turns up and does this...its a bit beautiful
