I have been getting motivated again recently.
I had a couple of weeks where i lacked motivation hard. These weeks were spent mostly watching the BBC iPlayer and playing some hardcore World of Warcraft. Both of these things are excellent but my parents disagree, so unfortunately since im stuck living with them and not working, i had to submit and actually get dressed and do some work in the garden on the sheds and stuff. Its good because i was slipping into a downwards spiral of lazy... a spiral i have extensive past experience of.
So i spent another evening sending off job applications to all and sundrey, and hopefully something will come of all that. I went to the job centre today and they gave me another job to apply for which i am massively over qualified for so hopefully that will come up trumps.
I have to be up at a resonable hour tomorrow to go to a graduate thing which some company is running where they basically go through your CV with you and do some mock interviews to basically let you know whats coming and get you prepared for it and make you more employable at interview, hopefully this will be helpfull!!
But what is really motivating me is the prospect of next summer. This may seem odd since the summer has really only just ended, but next summer i plan on having the best summer yet in Ibiza.
In 2008 i went there and it was the best holiday i have ever had, all my friends came and it was really a turning point for me from being dumped, depressed and dropped out of uni to realising that really i was getting to do things i had wanted to do since i was like 14 years old. It sounds lame, but ever since i saw Kevin and Perry go Large way back in 2000, i wanted to go to Ibiza. I got the film for christmas on VHS and i watched it every day of the christmas holiday, i knew it inside out, and all i wanted from then on was to go to Ibiza, and i got to last year. It was everything i had thought it would be and more.
* Beautiful weather
* Beautiful people
* Beautiful music
* Beautiful clubs
* Beautiful atmosphere.
My only regret is that we didnt stay there. We went really early because its a fuck ton cheaper if you do, so it wasnt massively crowded and everything was cheaper because there were so much fewer people the bars were really trying to get any custom they could, and it was mostly people out there looking for work. I got home to rainy Reading in the UK, dumped my bag down in the living room with my friend Tom, and we both thought...
"Why the fuck did we come home?!" there was no reason to! we had nothing to do for another 4 months apart from our deadend jobs, we could have had deadend jobs in Ibiza for the whole summer and been much happier.
SO in my very longwinded way, this is what im planning. May 2010, get out there as early as i can and find a job, any job and make as many friends as i can. Im starting already. Im going through all the forums and bookmarking all the pages of people that were looking for staff last year so i can email them early next year and try and get in there first.
ANYWAY i love planning and plans, i could plan shit all day and never end up doing it lol. But still its nice to be focused on getting back here...
Seriously if you are even remotely interested in dance music, meeting amazing people or staying up all day and all night dancing and making friends, go to Ibiza.
