New Years is here, and i am hopeful about this one.
This last year has been shit frankly, ok well the tail end of it was a lot better than the begining, but still i will remember it as a bad year. Came into the year feeling alone, lost and in love with a girl who i had managed to lose and falling into a spiral of spending every spare penny i could find on getting stoned, with the enevitable consequence of dropping out of uni for a year. Going out of it feeling much the same way but i am at least a little more optimistic about the way my 2009 will go. Things have been getting better and im hoping they will continue to do so. Maybe i will be able to say 'im over that' at some point this year and really mean it.
Anyway thats rather gloomy isnt it so lets look at some of the awesome shizzle that i am looking forward to this year!!!!
1) New Harry Potter film --- Yes yet another opertunity to say 'it was good, but not as good as the books' as they try to fit it into too short a spaxce and i am left unforfilled. Still, i like them
2) Finishing Uni! -- Thats right im going to finally get this degree done if it kills me. I dont like being at university anymore, all my friends have graduated and left, i live with a group of strangers who are just lame in my opinion, not into anything i am into and we have no time for each other, im sick of being poor, im sick of being lonely, i wanna get this bastard degree finished once and for all and start earning money. Its not all bad up there but i will be glad when its overwith.
3) Ibiza Holiday -- Going back to the island and i could not be happier about it, the summer will be a beautiful one.
4) Going to visit America --- Im going to fucking get this done i swear it.
5) Finding my work ethic -- Yes...i dont like having jobs, i never have. Im lazy there is no two ways of looking at it. I enjoy sitting at home and doing nothing, which is fine most of the time as its not too expensive doing nothing! However sometimes i want to do something, and then money is always an issue. Well not this year, im getting a job, im saving my money, im buying things i want and im going to sort myself out and get my life on track.
So yes these are the things im looking forward to, bollocks to resolutions, if you have to wait until the new year to change things in your life then your a tard because its just another day like any other. If i give up smoking, it wont be at new years, so lets not even kid ourselves mkay
All in all im hopeful for new year. My message to anyone reading this that if you know what will make you truely happy then you should do everything in your power to get hold of it and never let it go. Life is short, and ultimately meaningless, but if you can find something that fills your time with meaning, then you are truely lucky. There is nothing after this life so stop wasting time with the things that bring you down because when you look back at life, i would hate to say i spent time being sad when i could have been happy. It could all be over tomorrow and then you would feel really fucking stupid wouldnt you
On a lighter note, i bough t Left 4 Dead and i cant stop killing those freaking zombies! i have fallen in love with Steam, and i fear im going to be downloading too many games from it. Today i bought Brothers in Arms: Hells highway and Audio surf...check them out!!
Also i im absolutely loving this song from the Mirrors Edge sound track...which is more than can be said about the game itself pft but still LISTEN TO IT I LOVE IT
Ahh well, Happy new year all. You have all made me feel a little bit more hopeful for this year so i thank you
